Grants and Funding
Sport and Recreation Victoria provides grants and funding to support groups from local community clubs through to the elite level. Funding is available for a range of activities, from improving or building new facilities to putting in place community projects and programs. Our Club, Our Future - Sporting Uniform Grants Program 2009–10
The Our Club, Our Future – Sporting Uniform Grants Program provides grants of up to $1,000 to assist in the purchase of sports uniforms. Victorian clubs, organisations and community groups delivering sport are eligible to apply.
Community Facility Funding program
The Community Facility Funding program contributes to the provision of high-quality and accessible community sport and recreation facilities across Victoria.
Country Football & Netball program
The Country Football and Netball program provides funding to assist country football and netball clubs to develop facilities through rural, regional and outer metropolitan councils.
Strengthening the World Game program
The Strengthening the World Game program provides funding to assist local football (soccer) clubs and organisations to upgrade existing or to develop new facilities through councils across Victoria.
Country Action grant scheme
The Country Action grant scheme aims to increase the capacity of sport and recreation organisations in regional and rural Victoria. Grants of up to $5,000 are available to successful applicants.
Victalent
Victalent is a $500 travel assistance grant for sport and recreation organisations to support developing athletes, coaches, officials and teams who are required to travel extensively in order to engage in training and competition.
Access for All Abilities program
The Access for All Abilities (AAA) program develops and supports a diverse range of sport and recreation environments that are inclusive of and accessible to people with disabilities.
Indigenous Sports Development program
The Indigenous Sports Development program aims to:
- increase access to sport and recreation opportunities for Indigenous communities
- create sustainable partnerships with state and regional sporting associations
- increase awareness within the sport and recreation industry of how to be more inclusive of Indigenous communities
Supporting Country Sport program
The Supporting Country Sport program strengthens the capacity of rural and regional communities to respond to sport and active issues which impact at the grassroots level.
Emergency grants: Sports Equipment
The Emergency grant provides assistance to local sport and active recreation clubs to replace essential sporting or first aid equipment that has been lost or destroyed as a consequence of fire, theft or flood.
