Country Football Grounds Assistance Program: Stage 2 Outcomes Report
Rural Victoria’s football grounds have suffered greatly through long periods of dry weather, which have made maintaining safe and quality sporting grounds difficult for many football clubs.
This is why the State Government responded in 2004 by establishing the Country Football Grounds Assistance Program (CFGAP), which has upgraded more than 200 football clubs in rural and regional Victoria.
The CFGAP outcomes report (PDF 862 kb) provides great examples of the benefits and outcomes of the projects funded under stage 2 of the program. Benefits for local communities have been significant with positive impacts on the sustainability of football clubs and the vitality of the community that supports them.
