Head down to Southbank on Monday 3 December to bash, crash and bounce up a storm at the Victorian Disability Sport and Recreation Festival.

The festival is a unique community event that promotes and celebrates physically active lifestyles for people of all abilities.

The festival offers Victorians with, and without, disability the opportunity to explore and experience accessible and inclusive sport and recreation through hands-on activities and information sharing.

There are 40 exhibitors showcasing how people with a disability can be enabled and supported to take part in sport and recreation.

As well at displays and exhibitions, there are 18 activities scheduled where you can jump in and try out activities ranging from wheelchair rugby, to shot put, gymnastics and bike riding.

You can also learn about ways to get involved in your local community, meet Paralympians, and interact with giant wheelchair puppets.

Highlights of the day will include the Law Enforcement Torch Run, with more than 100 police and Special Olympics athletes running from the Victoria Police Centre to the festival, and the AFL Wheelchair Corporate Challenge which includes two teams from the Department of Health and Human Services.
